The inquiry is still happening. LIFT announces LIFT New Parliament, a portable meeting and performance space which was to be a site to see exciting performances and have interesting conversations.
LIFT New Parliament was able to be erected or dismantled in one day and be transported anywhere in London and the world. It opened as the centrepiece of the festival in June 2008 spending 10 days in east London and then was transported to the Southbank Centre where it spent a further 10 days. Artichoke was founded in 2005 and LIFT co-produced Picnic with The Sultan and his Elephant in May 2006 with Artichoke.
